1. Mar 16,  · I got into Bill Evans a few years ago when I was looking for some introductory piano-based Jazz CDs and was very impressed by Bill- both his solo work and with a Trio). I have several (but not all) of his studio and live albums- both those released during his lifetime and posthumously.

4. Sep 22,  · Bill Evans generally sounds good. There is a spot on "My Romance," I think, where I expected a piano solo but there's just bass and drums, both of which just continue with the groove as opposed to soloing. Not sure if that was deliberate, or if Bill wanted to abandon the take at that point. I have the 70s twofer vinyl issue. The CD has more tracks.

5. Bill Evans (born William John Evans; 16th August th September ) was one of the most famous jazz pianists of the twentieth century. Along with McCoy Tyner and Oscar Peterson, he was the force behind the biggest evolution in jazz piano since Art Tatum and Bud Powell.
